Amelie Mancini

A few weeks ago, while falling into the black hole that is the tinterweb, I came across the work of French artist Amelie Mancini who's based in Brooklyn, NY. It happens she has a new collection called "Tropical", what a sweet coincidence! I totally fell in love with her work, she is like a Swiss Army knife literally! She masters woodwork, painting, stamping, textile pattern, etc... She is most definitely awesome!

Secrets Berbères

These Moroccan rugs are attracting my attention a lot lately. There are a few types coming from different tribes and folklores. The Beni Ouarain is by far my favourite, what a killer rug! The Boucherouite and the Killim are stunning types too, although too colourful for my taste.

The question is, where to find the perfect rug? There are plenty of online shops where you can find them, but I always question their authenticity. But then, I stumbled across this website Secrets Berbères, where they sell wholesome and beautiful authentic rugs from Morocco.

I have to admit, the website is also stunning which can also influence the designer in me!

What I like about this shop is that they scout around the atlas mountains and the rest of Morocco to find unique pieces and provide work to local craftsmen.

I am definitely saving some pennies to get my hands on one of them!
